Sacrament of Marriage

Make arrangements with Father Jim no later than six months before the planned date.  Preparation classes are required by the Texas bishops.  Special paperwork and additional procedures may be required.

Sacrament of Baptism

Preregistration is required. You may register at the parish office on Monday, Wednesday or Friday between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  Fr. Jim will set the date of the Baptism class and the date of the Baptism. 


The parents must provide an original copy of the child's State Birth Certificate.  If the parents are not registered parishioners, they must provide a letter of permission from the parish that they are registered with or the parish that is within the vicinity of their home.


Godparents must meet the following requirements:  

  1. They must be 18 years of age
  2. Only one male or one female godparent or one of each sex permitted
  3. They must be of the Catholic faith
  4. They must have made all three sacraments of initiation(Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation)
  5. ​Lead a life in harmony with the faith and the role to be undertaken
  6. Not bound by any canonical penalty legitimately imposed or not be the father or mother of the child.

​Both parents and godparents are required to attend a Baptism preparation class prior to the Baptism celebration.  Godparents from another parish may attend classes in their own parish, but must provide a letter or certificate of completion.
